Giving Back
Mark donates part of his vacation time to taking care of clients in some of the most impoverished countries in the world. At Western Rehab, we accept used wheelchairs, and donate them to various organizations who refurbish the equipment, container, and ship the equipment to a foreign country. When the equipment is received abroad, representatives from our company, and other organizations, fly to the country to distribute the equipment. Through local organizations they meet with individuals and families, adjusting the donated wheelchair to meet their needs.
Some of the countries that we have traveled to are: Kenya, Vietnam, Nepal, Zimbabwe, Macedonia, Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, Uzbekistan, Guatemala, and Mexico.
